‘Adventure may hurt you but monotony will kill you’.
Is there anything worse? I’ve seen both extremes – crisis and mind-numbing boredom. I’d rather crisis.
There’s something chilling about a listless and directionless person. Not because they’re lazy but because they’re dangerously bored. They don’t need discipline, they need purpose.
Purpose demands adventure, and it’s the only force that gives us the strength to endure the ‘hurt’ of new beginnings – which is preferable to the ‘death’ of monotony.
